14 Tuesday with the Person You Admire

“Live your best life” Oprah Gail Winfrey once said. This quote was not brought about through thought, but experience. Oprah Winfrey had experienced hardship throughout her life before becoming the person she is today. If I were given the ability to spend 14 Tuesdays with her, I would definitely be inspired.

The reason why I would prefer her to anyone else I have ever encountered with is mainly because she is so motivated despite her poverty and lack of affection in the past. She is a daughter of an unmarried mother which later migrated to the north, leaving her with her grandmother in rural poverty. She was constantly being abused since she was nine and became pregnant when she was fourteen. Wisdom comes with experience. I can learn much about inspiration from her. Especially through her television show, The Oprah, she has inspired many people from different walks of life.

Being able to meet and spend time with her, I would hope to learn about happiness at times of hardship. Many people would wonder how she coped with her past experience. How did she able to see a light from her dark gloomy memory. Instead of being drowned by the stream of obstacle, she remained fortitude all by herself. Secondly, I am eager to learn about what is her secret to survive without attention and love. She once stated her opinion that she does not want to be a mother since she was not mothered well. Despite that, I would like to share my thoughts that she can be a good mother as she has done good deeds to the community from every nook and cranny of the world. In addition, her road to success would be one of the good lessons I am looking forward to. She is considered as the first black woman billionaire in world history. This proves that through determination, perseverance and resilience, anyone can be successful.
