What is a wiki and how can be useful for an organization? Select ONE of the products that allow you to create a wiki and describe it in detail. Identify ONE organizational goal that would be supported by this wiki. What features would you offer in the wiki to support that organizational goal? How this is related to the learning objectives of this module?

What is wiki and how it can be useful for an organization, I think wiki is a wealth of knowledge. It reminds me of a episode on the Simpsons where Homer was thinking about how they thought of a old funny joke, his imagination showed a room full of old wise people sitting around smoking on a cigar and sipping on rum to come up with that funny joke. So when I look at wiki I think it’s a way for people who have the most common sense to make something so easy to understand in simple terms rather than a complex ordeal that will surpass your head. The way that I can see that it would be useful for an organization is if the organization is related global environment and its asking for people to watch out for what they do, wiki can provide them a site so that they can put the statistics of how much pollution is coming out of your everyday products that your family and self uses. It also provides just a easy way of explain things in a fun interactive way it draws the reader’s attention for them to want to know more and possibly do further research on the topic at hand. The product that I would use to build my wiki site would be Wikispaces, looking at the rest of them they seemed to not have a much information or seemed to difficult to start up only the Wikispaces had the umfh that I was looking for. It’s a free web hosting service that competes with some heavy weights but it still hold its ground, I love the fact that teachers and students can use it to help in the class room as well as schools and universities, they know that people can learn the same information and reach the same goal but by a different means....
