The mission determines what kind of business to build or what kinds of markets to serve.

With Soul Bakery, their main mission is to bake and serve healthy products. It was found that there is a growing appetite for good artisan foods hence the success of the Farmer’s Markets in North America. These markets were the drive to establishing Soul Bakery because consumers demand for quality food products are increasing by the day. Seattle seemed to be an appropriate city for the new bakery.

The partners identified their potential goal… speciality breads. They want to develop a range of premium, healthy and flavoursome baked products that will distinguish them from the rest of the ordinary, everyday bakeries. They strive to improve the health of the Americans by producing products that are wheat-free, fat-free, sugar-free and yeast-free, but that are still nutritious and tasty. They are looking for into formal organic certification.

When taking the above into consideration, the families are also concerned about the health of their family and loved ones. They strive to make a difference by introducing healthy products that are still nutritious and tasty so that the everyday person can experience the pleasure without the negative effects thereof.

It is their mission to satisfy customer needs and that can be seen in the recent development of producing confectionary items, which do not really fit with what they do, but they are willing to make the sacrifice. They do not laden their sweet products with sugars and fats.

Kerry wants to make sure that his clients receive the best possible products and service and for that reason he trains his staff to be independent and be able to run the business so that he can focus on the production side of the business as well as the smooth running of other systems.
