3. Evaluate data related to Tanglewood’s historical recruiting methods to determine the effectiveness for each method. Tanglewood had used various recruiting methods. The methods they used varied from many regions in which they serve. The various method of recruiting was media, referrals, kiosk, states job services, and staffing agency. The various methods had various impacts on the various regions.

* Media- is the most traditional method used by Tanglewood. The advertising for these sources are open for all the people, who wants to join the company. Through this source of recruiting Tanglewood may find a number of applicants for the position of store associates. Throughout the various regions this form of recruiting appears to be the most expensive recruiting method with very little retention.

* Referrals- is when an employee recommends an individual to a company. The referral method seems to be the more targeted source for the recruiting efforts of the Tanglewood. This method appears to be one of the better recruiting methods of Tanglewood, primarily because the cost per hire is not expensive and the retention rate is good.

* Kiosk – is also the open source of recruitment as every potential applicant can apply for the job. The kiosk gives all the information to the candidates about the job and the candidate, who meets the requirement. This method is also used in the numerous regions; which also costly with a short term retention rate.

* Staffing agency- Tanglewood uses this method to recruit the person who specializes in the retail industry. This form of recruiting has been known to increase in the retention and the hiring rate in some regions; but has a tendency to cost the company a significant amount of money.

* State job service- with this method Tanglewood recruits mainly the applicants who have qualifications and understanding about the retail industry and the importance of customer service. This...
