Technical Feasibility

The Management Information System is feasible technically, although there are some risks.

St. Camillus’ risk regarding familiarity with managing the dorm and its maintenance is moderate.

* The Management Department has little management strategies with the dorm in connection to its maintenance.

* The IT Department has a well-built knowledge of its customer’s management and sales, but has not worked with its maintenance.

* There are numerous dorms that are available in town and is has more quality but high price.

St. Camillus’ risk regarding familiarity with its maintenance in connection to technology is moderate.

* The IT Department has knowledge has current system regarding its managing area, the databases and the technology it uses.

* The IT Department has no direct knowledge of the technology in connection to the management and its maintenance services. Some of its some issues might be answered by the system they are using.

* Some consultants are needed for this particular area.

The project size is considered medium risk.

* The project team will consist of 6 people.

* Business user involvement will not be totally required.

* The project time frame will be critical, since the system will be regularly needed by the management. Additional will be the time constraint for the project team.

The compatibility with St. Camillus’ existing technical infrastructure must be good.

* An Internet infrastructure is already in place of the dorm and available to use.

* The ISP should be able to scale its services and accommodate the new Management Information System in connection to its maintenance services.
