* Introduction
Public health has it origins that base back to the days of Homo sapiens and the way in which they dealt with their medical issues and those that were sick, even the dying. There are many historical figures that are famous for contributing a lasting factor to public health, and left an everlasting presence with the services and advancement of medicine until this very day. Overtime public health has evolved all over the world, making people more conscious of their health and services that now provide vital healthcare services to many uninsured and poor families everywhere.
* The notable public health figure that you plan to write about
The historical person that I wanted to is Charles-Edward A. Winslow. He was born in Massachusetts, and Winslow was an extreme public health figure and also a bacteriologist. He started his career in the public health field as a bacteriologist. He was partly responsible for developing public health and its policies throughout the United States and also the western world.

Sugar Grove, IL, USA. Went to college at MIT. He was a teacher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He then went on to teach at College of the City of New York. He was a member of the Society of American Bacteriologists. He created the Public Health Dept. at Yale Medical School

He became interested in the environment as it plays a part of health, and also the occupational health. Housing conditions, epidemiology, public health administration, nursing, mental health, and the organization of medical care.
