“Abortion Should be Legal”

The legalization of abortion is very popular issue in today’s society. In 1973, US Supreme court decision in Roe vs. Wade made abortion legal. There are many people who consider abortion as a murder crime whereas other considers that women should have the choice to do what she pleases with her body. I think that young women who find themselves pregnant, and are not well prepared for the responsibility of a child should always right for abortion.

In many situation, women might not be not prepared to have a baby. For example, if a young girl, who is in high school, is financially unable to support a baby, and unable to raise a baby. When a situation, women might be not prepared to have a baby, it is better for a woman to abort the child. If a young woman has to keep baby; the consequences are that she will not be able to focus in studies, she could even develop health problems or her baby could have health problems. On another situation, if a women get raped, she would probably not want to keep the child of a rapist. Moreover, if a women health is at risk, the doctor could either save her or her baby, she should definitely have a choice for abortion. Some women with disease or illness that can be life threatening if she give childbirth; she should also have a choice for abortion. According to the new feminism, thousands of women died before Roe and those women don’t die. It demonstrates that abortion have also reduced the death of women over illegal abortion.

There are many contraceptive available nowadays. Everyone should take advantage of them. No one should expect from fifteen years old girl to raise her baby. Every women should have option to get abortion.
