Accounting training advertisements are almost everywhere. They give us the superficial impression that accounting is nothing about comprehensive learning but an easy skill that can be picked up in a few days. However, the truth is quite the opposite. The trainings in advertisements should be better named bookkeeping, a small and easy branch of accounting. For me, accounting is not only a science that requires deep learning but also an art that demands professional judgments based on different situations. Those talented people with multiple qualities and international accounting education background are quite scarce in China and my dream is to be one of them.

To be a good accountant, first and foremost, you must have passion in accounting. I developed my interest in accounting in the class of Auditing. Fascinated by the logic in auditing, I took a further step in the field--I joined the Deloitte Club after furious competition and started to pursue my interest in auditing. During my internship in Deloitte Audit Department, I examined vouchers, conducted analytical procedures, communicated with colleagues and customers. Audit is a challenging job since every case you deal with is a brand new picture, which deserves thorough investigation. I love finding out the problems and using a logical and systematical way to solve the problems.

Besides, logical thinking ability is essential for accountants. Thanks to the courses relating to mathematics like Statistics and computer science such as Database, I gained a sound ability to calculate and analyze data, all of which plays an important role in dealing with real business problems. Even though computers can conduct most calculations today mathematics is necessary to develop our logical thinking ability.
