Personal Statement Uni

I chose the UK as the country I want to study due to the long-established traditions not only in education but also in religion, politics, sports, healthcare, etc. It’s fascinating how Britain has succeeded in preserving its culture, customs and traditions despite of the crucial historical events it's been exposed to. One other factor that made me chose United Kingdom was the mix of cultures and also the overwhelming cathedral and other monuments almost every city possess and are worth a visit. Having carefully examined the country's living conditions, I am convinced I would settle perfectly in the UK culture and way of life.

Some years ago, a certain amount of children were asked if they knew the person who was in a white card and what happen next left me stunned. Infants recognize Donald Mcdonald but when asked about a picture, which contained Jesus Christ, the children hesitated and didn't know what to answer. Since then, I understood the role and power that marketing has on our society and how important it is in this consumist world we live in. In my opinion, marketing is more then just some fancy publicity and billboard we see on the street, marketing it's understanding how people think, what motivates them to buy something, what makes a company more successful than other and how to create a brand. This is the real essence of marketing and is the reason why I would love to study Marketing much deeper and understand all its complexity. Also Philip Kotler’s work captivated me to go further in Marketing studies.

I think my personality and character matches very well with the marketing course. To begin, i’m a very competitive person and also a perfectionist, everything I do as to be near perfection. My motto is: “With outstanding work and perfection everything is possible!”. Furthermore, the group projects I began or did in school were always lead by me, i’m a charismatic person who encourages others to get involved and fell much more useful and productive....
