RE: BEHAVIOR EXHIBITED BY MANAGERS

There is some concern regarding the behavior that managers exhibit within InterClean. The behavior that a manager exhibits has the ability to affect how his or her workers carry out his or her duties on a daily basis. Here at InterClean, the manager’s job is to make sure that all employees have the knowledge and the supplies to do his or her best at the job assigned to them.

Here at InterClean, the company has confidence in the management team that everyone will project a positive attitude toward every employee that works for InterClean. For example, if a manager is having a bad day that negative energy will become contagious among the employees this could result in poor productivity because the employee may believe that the manager does not care about the company nor the work he or she is doing for the company. As you are all aware InterClean is presently merging with EnviroTech so therefore, the need to be professional and having a positive attitude is more prevalent than ever before for InterClean. According to (Neveen, S, 2008) a destructive manager can turn a great job into a miserable job, which can cause an employee to lose his or her creativity and productivity. Over the last year, I have read many studies in regards to work place attitudes. One study comes to mind which is the study done by The Gallup Organization. In their research, the data showed that in work groups with positive attitudes 50 percent of the employees are more likely to achieve customer loyalty with 44 percent of the employees being more likely to produce above-average profitability (Cascio, 2006). I shared this information with all of you so that you will be aware that the attitude that each of you have every day here at InterClean will determine the success of the company.
