Dear Mr. Cohen:

As a developing computer graphics student at Purdue University, I was interested in the intern position advertised on the internJobs website. Both my education at Purdue University in a computer modeling course and my experience communicating with various groups of people make me the ideal choice for the position.

As a sophomore in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University, I am learning the fundamental modeling skills needed to be the qualified professional best suited for the intern position. The most relevant course in my current curriculum (Geometric Modeling for Visualization and Communication) is helping to mold and develop my knowledge of computer modeling through weekly modeling and sketching assignments. The general skills I am gaining from this course are the major parts of the fundamental skeleton of an intern for an architectural company such as RobertCohen Architect LLC.

Previous work experience as a customer service assistant at Circuit City and a youth group leader at the YWCA have given me a standard for worker-customer relations, a key emphasizes of RobertCohen Architect LLC. During my time at Circuit City, I had direct contact with customers on a daily basis and it was essential that I maintained a warm and welcoming attitude. While at the YWCA, I not only had to communicate with my colleges, it was also important for me to understand the proper way to speak with the children as well as their parents; from this experience, I have learned how to apply different forms of the communication model to different genres of people.
