As a Human Resource Manager, I must create a plan to revamp the compensation and benefits package. I must essentially establish barriers as to what and what is not accepted from a team, eradicating all possible miscommunication with base requirements. First, a compensation plan must be written for the corporation, enabling the corporation to provide the managers with important tools to receive the most work out of the individuals that report to them. Second, the compensation plan should include every for of wages/compensation that is available, including, salaries, bonuses, merit increases, overtime payments, paid time off, 401(k), and other profit sharing plans. Third, a policy will be a policy established regarding the amount of hours individuals can work, overtime payments, compensatory time, and paid time off (i.e., vacation time, sick leave, and/or personal days). Lastly, the minimum or base salary grades should be based on the job title, description of the job, base qualifications, and educational endeavors shall be placed to determine the salary of the employees.

A compensation package should include what encourages long-term employees that they will be rewarded without the sense of entitlement being established. As the Human Resource Manager, I have to present all of the materials to the stakeholders as well as upper management for the overall approval of this project.

As stated by Kloppenborg, (2012), a communication plan is a document that illustrates communication needs and expectations for the human resource project, how and in what format the information will be communicated, when and where each communication will be made, and who is responsible for providing each type of communication.
