Leaders’ Emotion in Class Organization

In this essay, we will talk about the emotion of a leader in class organization which is the leader in here was the teacher and all students as follower or in the workplace it was an employee. In this essay, we will talk about leading with positive emotion. So first, we will discuss about the positive emotions that can undo negative emotions.

Teachers are the same as us. They can feel happy, comfortable, and many others positive emotions but they could otherwise as well. This negative emotion could lead to a bad performance of him/her. In the end, it will be us as students who felt the consequences, we can’t learn properly. I had an example of this case, when i was new student at FEUI; i had a teacher that gets angry in the class for no reason. She storm out of the class but we still wait for her. In the end, the chairman gets talked to her and find out that she had a problem outside the class and she get more angry because she can’t create a positive atmosphere in the class.

“Laboratory experiments have demonstrated that evoking positive emotions in the circumstances is the most efficient way to quell the aftereffects of negative emotions” (Barbara L.F.; Leading with positive emotions). So it would be nice if the teachers to have a positive emotion before they teach to create a comfortable learning atmosphere for students. But it doesn’t depend on the teacher alone, we as a students should help too.

Positive emotions broaden thinking and build resources. Positive emotions are the key to control the negative emotions. But beside that, further experiments had says that positive emotion can also help people to enrich their mindset to think broaden than if they are not possess the positive emotion. So in this class organization, the leader–the teacher–should know that if he/she teach in positive emotions, he/she can thinks clearly and that will lead to more knowledge available for students.
