Good afternoon homeowners. My name is Roberta and I am a member of your

Homeowners Association. I would like to talk with all of you about energy conservation. In this meeting I hope to be able to inform you about the importance of

Conserving energy and also ways to help you to achieve this goal. Conserving energy is not only good for the environment but it can also be good for us. By finding ways to do this we can cut back on the use of some of the earth’s resources. I plan to explain how the non-renewable energy sources are limited and dangerous to our environment.

There are two types of energy sources. These sources are renewable and non-renewable. The energy source that is commonly used today is non-renewable energy.

Non-renewable energy is energy that comes from the ground. These energy resources will not be able to replenish themselves over a short period of time. These resources are very dangerous to the environment. I know that the non-renewable sources give us great convenience, but we must realize what great harm we are doing to the very planet we call home. Renewable energy resources are resources that can naturally replenish themselves. These are things such as sunlight, wind, rain and geothermal heat. These sources will diminish more and more from the pollution of the fossil fuels, toxics, and so on. We as a community need to take care of these sources as if they were our babies.

Instead of using electric from the electric company we could use solar panels. Sometimes it may seem as if some of these things are not practical, but in the end it can save homeowners money and also protect the environment at the same time.

Each homeowner, whether it be the ones that are here today or just any person in general, cutting back on...
