Abstract

Collaboration consists of everyone consistently working together including nurses, doctors, patients and their families. Collaboration is very important among the medical field, as well as many other fields. The collaborative team must present honest feedback, giving each and everyone room to make mistakes and fix them. Each team member must try to accommodate each other knowing that everyone is different and everyone has their own opinion. Lack of collaboration among members of a health care team can adversely affect patient care. If there is a patient that has something wrong with them, and there is lack of collaborative care and there is lack of communication, something can go wrong. Collaborative care is slowly increasing, just by the small things such as communication. One form of communication that has been surprisingly working is this new system health care members are using. The medical field is starting to document everything electronically. Helping families or loved ones to understand an illness is beneficial to both the patient and the team. Everyone needs a good collaborative health team, and it is key to succession.

What collaboration means to me

Collaboration is generally defined as a group of people who work together to deliver the highest quality care possible to others. This is also referred to as a team. Collaboration is a team who interact with each other based on common interests, including helping others through a series of hard work. This group of people work together and use research to identify different ways to better the decisions based on the problems being presented. The better the teamwork the better the quality of care given out, which is evident to the patients.
