Executive Summary:

This case revolves around Thomas Greens an ambitious and enthusiastic employee who works at Dynamic Display’s corporate headquarters at Boston. It is evident from the case that Thomas Green wanted to achieve great heights in his career without putting in ethical strategies to work in order to achieve his ultimate goal. He had been working as an account executive in Dynamic Display in the Travel and Hospitality Division. During this time he enjoyed his job and showed a considerable contribution to the firm which was noticed and recognized by the senior management of the organization.

In the four months he cracked a deal with one of the largest airline carriers, which was Journey Airlines to accelerate rollout of kiosks in 20 airports and purchase upgraded software for kiosks in majority of their locations. Thomas Greens success was short lived due to his overconfidence, lack of strategic and tactical skills, always doing what he thought was right. Most importantly he did not believe in penning down his ideas and goals and sharing the same with his team or supervisors and take their suggestions into account.

Frank Davis and Shannon Mc Donald tried their best to highlight areas where Green needed improvement so that he can work as an effective member of the senior team, but he ignored their help and support. However he thought that Ms. Mc Donald would be by his side at all times even if his supervisor Davis decides to fire him from the organization. Green was confident that his work style was absolutely right and he did not require any changes in his work style as highlighted by his supervisor Frank Davis.
