Trade is very important in our global economy. It is a means for one country to receive goods and services from another country. The goods are received via airplane, ship, vans and even trucks. This paper will examine trade in the form of exporting and the types of leverage used to maintain proper business functions. Whatever the transportation choice customers expect their goods to arrive on time and in good condition. The focus of this examination is the website BuyUSA.gov, U.S. commercial services.
This website acts as a central hub and information center providing opportunities for business expansion. The main customers are U.S. companies that seek to have new international business partners in global markets. This website also caters to international companies that are seeking U.S. suppliers. The number of United States commercial offices is approximately 100 and 80 internationally (BuyUSA.gov, 2014).
American companies that desire to export their products and services to other countries can find to the bottom of the webpages and select the export button. The next webpage of information allows companies to seek out export assistance centers in their area by location or U.S. zip code (BuyUSA.gov, 2014). An additional section helps companies find information by country as well (BuyUSA.gov, 2014). These two features are crucial to export planning because breaking into an international market can be difficult. The assistance section provides companies that can make entrance easier and some that may already be established in the target country (BuyUSA.gov, 2014). It also saves time searching because they can be found be either location or zip code.
