Apple Inc. is one of the renowned American multinational corporations as well as leading designer and manufacturer of consumer electronic and software products. It is usually known for its Macintosh (Mac) line of personal computers and series of iPods as well as iPhones (O’Grady, 2009). The corporate culture of the Apple Inc. was unique in every aspect. As a part of their corporate culture, Apple Inc. followed flat hierarchical structures with casual dress codes to promote quick decision making as well as innovation. The work culture was based on the ideal of self motivated individual working with minimal supervision to promote day to day decision making to the lowest possible level (O’Grady, 2009) & (Mc Shane and Travglione, 2005). This cultural strategy worked well for Apple Inc. as it grew very fast in its initial years. However, culture has always played an important role in achieving the organizational objectives. In the past decades, culture was considered an important aspect when dealing with cross cultural issues as well as understanding consumers when communicating with target market. However, in the recent few years significance of the culture has also been realized in terms organizational context (Lund, 2003). Various studies as well as researches have shown that organizational culture plays an important role in shaping its success. It is because the organizational culture has an impact on various organizational variables such as organizational environment which consist of work values as well as beliefs that influence the employee productivity as well as effectiveness (Lankford & Wimsatt, 2003) & (Lund, 2003).
