Communications Plan

Integral part of my communication plan will be my project meetings. I will be to conduct daily project meetings with all the project personnel involved with achieving the current milestone. The purpose of this meeting will be to keep the project team informed of the project progress, what issues we may be having, and what may be needed to progress to the next level. We will use the meeting to assess current progress against project timelines and gauged were the project stands.

A key tool that I will use in the project team meetings will be the Gant Chart. The Gant Chart will show the tasks needed to complete the project, their time lines, and their interdependencies. As such, this chart is how I will be comparing the project time lines to the current status of the project.

Another method I will use is the Responsibility Assignment Metric. This technique will assist project management to hand over tasks and duties to individuals assigned to the project. Thus, this will be an instrument to track the progress of the project and knowing who needs to be involved in the daily project meetings at any given time.

I will need to use internal communication to go through the processes, but I will also need to use external communication to work with the contractors and vendors involved in the project. We will need to use Formal Written communication in the form of the various contracts that will be needed to complete this project. For the project team most of the communication done internally on this project should be done face-to-face when ever possible. Using verbal communication done face-to-face will involve non-verbal facial expressions and body language.
