In business world, the organizations or companies need to be competitive advantage so that they can compete with others and earn more profits which can help them to survive and continue to provide goods or services to meet the needs and wants of members of society. In order to be competitive advantage, the companies need to develop new strategies that differ from others and take actions to improve their business activities to achieve goals. But, the action taken by the companies sometimes may cause harm to others if they did not act ethically. Therefore, the behaviors, actions and communications of the companies are very important and need to be concerned because all these will give positive or negative impacts on the stakeholders and society at large as well. The companies must know their roles and responsibilities toward stakeholders and members of society in order to provide most benefits and satisfy all of them. The products that produced by one of the “Big 6” Biotech Corporations, Monsanto have caught the attention of the public as some of them against and argue that these products may affect and cause harm to the public. Many people really concerned about the performance of the Monsanto Company and its commitments to the society. This essay examines the performance of Monsanto which regards to its responsibility towards the stakeholders and society. For example, its achievements on producing genetically modified seeds for several crops and recombinant bovine growth hormone which give several impacts and its contribution and program for the communities.
