The number of Americans with health insurance was stable in 2012, according to census Bureau. There was a significant increase in the number of insured Americans in 2014. There was a major effect on reducing the number of uninsured Americans between 2010 to 2011. Obama Health Care had a low affect on changing the rate of uninsured between 2011 and 2012. In 2014, Obama Care is willing to cover over 14 million Americans.

Over 6 million Americans who purchased private health insurance had to change their plan because it was not complying with Obama Health care regulations. In addition, there was a glitch with the Obama-care's exchange software because the website was just constructed. It was not working properly the way it supposed to be and people started to losing their health plans and having a problem get the new one.

Employer Mandate is a key component of Obama Care is that companies that employ 50 or more full time or full time equivalent (FTE) employees are required to provide affordable health insurance coverage. This coverage must be in place by 2016. Employers with more than 100 employees will have to provide this coverage by 2015. Under the Affordable Care Act, local and federal governments along with employers, employees and insurers.

There are steep penalties to employees who do not follow the mandates. Namely, employers will be liable for a Employer Shared Responsibility Payment if they fail to meet the mandate. The annual fee is $2,000 per employee if insurance isn't offered (the first 30 full-time employees are exempt). There are many stipulations that determine whether or not a business is meeting the mandate, and so the fees can add up to significant amounts for small business owners.
