Throughout my life I have had many things help me to where I stand now. One of the most important things I believe that has helped me is motivation, honest, self-confidence, and inspire. Motivation is something that pushes you to reach your desired goal. In my scenario, my girlfriend always motivates me to do well in school, manage my time wisely, and to always look at my first priorities. This has not only helped me in school, but it has helped in life in general. In return I motivate her to do well in school as well as whatever she needs to get done. I believe the best way to think about it is you have to give something to get something. This leads me to a conclusion that I best fit in the trait approach theory.

Honesty is the key to having a successful life. If a person cannot be honest then I highly doubt anyone will ever trust or believe them. My parent’s have raised me well enough in the sense that never lie, always speak the truth. Honesty is required to have a better relationship with anyone. In my life, for example, my girlfriend and I started our relationship almost 2 years ago, we had to gain trust in one another and be honest about everything for our relationship to grow stronger. We wouldn’t be where we are at in our relationship if we hadn’t gained trust in each other. I believe to be an effective leader you have to be honest, if not then how is someone supposed to believe what you are saying. Especially if you are a leader in a big company you have to be honest and trustworthy or else the company will suffer if you make a wrong decision or lied about something. Another example deals with my older brother, he constantly lies about whatever the situation might be. It is hard for my family to believe what he is saying unless we are actually with him or if we know the truth as well. Once a person lies they are going to keep on lying one after another.
