Q1. What are some of the different campaigns used by the company to market their product?

This company actually refers to sale of pet animals especially dogs through marketing. The campaign used by company here is the usage of emails to sell their pets. They have named this campaign as DoggyLoot. It gives opportunities to owners of dogs to sell their dogs by using emails. Subscribers receive emails customized to the size of their dogs. We can send a customized email for large dogs to a customer, which should have a better conversion rate because it's more relevant. This marketing segment of company is totally based on doggy data rather than people data. The company not only deals in the marketing of dogs but also deals in other products related to dogs like duck chew, dog toys etc.

Q2. What you learned about data privacy, what recommendations do you give the company to abide by the law?

As per privacy policy of company it is clearly mentioned that they possess childlike faith regarding data secrecy of our email addresses and it won’t be shared to any third or non concerning person for any purpose. Company do not rent, sale or barter email addresses of its clients at any cost. In addition, company will only send us emails related to the specific newsletters and/or topics signed up. Email addresses of clients will only be used for sending information and services they have requested. The most attractive thing of this policy is that in spite of strict compliance of maintaining secrecy policy of clients’ data they also have provided Customer service support for their clients who are ready to help and resolve customers’ queries and problems 24/7.

As there is always a room for improvement so this privacy policy can be facilitated by providing not only customer support through emails but they should recruit, install and run proper call centre for this purpose so that communication can be done faster and more effective.
