Valuation of an Obsolete Man

As a student, I secure myself in the pages of my book, and I isolate myself from doubtful activities. I have been parted from reality a long time ago. But by the age of 15 I had invested some time in doing extraordinary things: connecting and listening to people. Honestly, I did not obtain any income from these. I thought that reaching out is just a waste of time. So this year, when I got a class that offers the same things, I asked myself. Am I willing to work for free? I am not stupid to do that. I was planning to drop the course when a part of me pushed me to capitalize in the project. I knew that I was ruining the economic balance here, but there was a voice inside me. It was very loud. It was saying that I will gain something completely different from any possessions I had before.

It was my soul speaking to me. I cannot oppose, thus began my journey. Stepping onto real world happened to be the greatest recession of all times. In a blink of my eyes, everything I used to believe in turned into lies.

Few days ago, I was reading an article online saying that PH is more fun place for the elderly. It was good news indeed, but what I saw was far from this idea. Last month, we went to a home for the aged, our beneficiary, to determine what assistance they need. I saw the elderly combat with malnutrition, oppression and bereavement.

Malnutrition seemed ignored health issue. In the center we had encountered different people who suffer from malnutrition, because of lack of food and thought. Upon observing you will notice their turkey necks, spotted hands, wrinkled knees and elbows, sore feet, and fine lines which indicate aging. Their oldness did not bother me, but their lean and ill bodies stroke me for a moment. They had been transformed into walking sticks.

It was annoying, knowing that lots of people spend too much for luxury while these people can barely afford a piece of bread for breakfast.
