1. What woman has inspired you?

My cousin has inspired me to do many great things in my life. She is my big sister and my role model. My relationship with my cousin has helped me overcome many obstacles and there are no words which can truly describe how significant she is to me.

2. What kind of impact has she had on your life?

My cousin has truly made an impact in my life for attaining higher education. In 1995, at the age of 7 I went with my family on our first road trip to drop off my cousin at Boston University. Every year we made bi-annual trips to drop off and pick up her and her accompanying amassed items. The car trips would be filled with her speaking excitedly about classes, friends, and activities. Now she’s a successful adult and I can see how Boston University helped shape her creativity, personality, intellect, and athleticism. And I now I know – as my seven-year-old self suspected – college is a great place to be. With that, beyond talking with my cousin about her experience, I’ve done extensive research on higher education to see which would be the best fit for me.

3. What is the most important lesson you've learned from her?

I am blessed to grow with such an amazing cousin. She taught me to be confident and showed me the importance of just being true in myself. She continually pushes me to pursue my passions and strive to make the world a better place.

4. Is there anything else you'd like to say about her?

I am truly grateful to have my cousin in my life.
