Health Care Resources Questionnaire

Answer each question based on your personal experiences as a consumer receiving health care services or as a professional providing service. The questions are related to real-life experiences in which health care services are received or provided, to the consumer’s satisfaction with those services, to changes you have seen or experienced over time, or to insurance coverage benefits you have or provide. Be prepared to discuss your completed questionnaire in Week One.

1. How can you locate health care resources? What health care resources are you familiar with? How did you locate information on those resources?

Healthcare resources can be found on the internet, in person/doctors, over the phone, and in books. Healthcare resources I am familiar with is talking with my doctors, medical books, or checking the internet (WebMD). I would locate the information by putting it in my search engine, or just asking.

2. Are you currently employed in a health care setting? If not, explain your interest in providing care or resources in the future.

I am not currently employed in the healthcare setting but my interest in healthcare is because I like to help people or see that each person gets the right care they need to have good health.

3. Do you feel you have sufficient access to services as a consumer or provider? Explain your response.

As a consumer, I feel have access to get information and what I need if I ask for it also there is the access to the internet to get information and try different remedies myself at home instead of going to the doctor if it is something minor.

4. How often do you search for health care resources or information? Explain your answer.

I search often on the internet for information but if I still have questions about what I looked up I’ll ask a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist about what I found to make sure that is correct.
