Introduction The MPM 100 is a stand alone system to monitor battery banks. The system monitors the state of health of each cell by performing resistance test. Apart from that it also indicates immediate battery health and monitor status of given location and reports to centralize monitoring computer.

Normal Operating mode In normal mode, the system scans all parameters in one to five seconds, depending on the configuration. As the readings are taken, they are compared to user programmed alarm level. Discharge Mode If a discharge is detected, the system goes into a data logging mode and stores battery voltage and discharge current into a discharge record. Resistance Test mode A battery resistance test is also can be performed as per user set intervals. Standard Features  Scans all pertinent parameters, such as overall voltage, cell voltage, float current and battery room temperature.  Performs a scheduled internal resistance test on every cell and store the data for trending analysis.  Auto detects discharge based on overall voltage and discharge current and stores data for real time or accelerated time playback.  Signals if any parameters outside user programmed limit.  Incorporate a Form C alarm contact for monitor hardware (MPM 100) failure or power failure  Communicate with an external computer via USB, modem or LAN (RJ-45).  Network compatible – RJ-45 network port available (LAN)

Purpose The main purpose of this report is to provide performance of this Online Battery Monitoring System (OBMS) ALBER MPM 100 Monitor unit installed at Kapar Substation 500/275 kV. This report is intended to present the performance analysis of the system.
