BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course introduces the major concepts and analytical models of strategic management for private sector, single and multi-business unit enterprises in competitive industries. It provides a comprehensive framework that can be applied when dealing with diverse strategic problems faced by senior management. The course is taught using a combination of theory and cases.

COURSE GOALS
• To develop a senior management approach to analyzing and providing solutions to diverse business problems
• To develop students’ ability to do a comprehensive strategic analysis of a business
• To integrate strategic concepts with the knowledge and skills acquired in other business courses in order to develop effective strategies

At the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Analyze a business situation using relevant tools and models effectively
• Develop solutions to strategically important business issues and problems
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of what it takes for a business to be successful
