Executive summary

T he company was founded by Sam Walton in 1962, incorporated on October 31, 1969, and publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 1972. Wal-Mart has 8500 stores in 15 countries, with 55 different names. Wal-Mart is Canada’s leading retail store that sells anything from lettuce to televisions. On behalf of the marketing department we will like to propose to the president of Wal-Mart a major business opportunity. With that said we will like to expand our electronic department to compete with the major electronic stores in Canada, This will comprise of offering more products and more brands. Our vision is to enable customers to be able do everything at Wal-Mart cancelling the need to go elsewhere to buy electronic products.
