Building of Memory: Managing Creativity through Action

Introduction

The Holocaust History Museum’s project manager Shimon Kornfield aimed at being resourceful in managing the members of his team and also the changes it brought on. In this essay, I will talk about the techniques of change management that Kornfield should have used to manage his team members morale. It will also discuss the steps he used to make sure that all the members of his team learned about these changes, the importance of communication and timing, and the actions he took to establish trust in his team members other than important participants.

Change Management Techniques

Change management is the execution of a structured set of tools and approach utilized in leading the personnel’s area of change to achieve the desired results (Kloppenborg, Shriberg, & Venkatraman, 2003). The project of Yad Vashem was extremely technical and it required energetic and passionate project team members. The project faced several challenges, and there was a necessity to manage and improve the morale of all the team members working in the memorial site of the Yad Vashem project.
