Health and wellness is the ever changing process of achieving
individual potential in the physical, social, emotional, mental, spiritual, and
environmental dimension. Wellness is the achievement of the highest level of health
possible in each of several dimensions. I believe the activities of daily living is a task
necessary normally to in today’s society is one of the most important elements of
health and wellness. I believe people know what to do in order achieve wellness and
stay healthy, but realistically they do what they can and want. My strongest dimension of
health falls under interpersonal and social wellness the ability to communicate; caring for
friends and family members are a joy and honor. I love to help younger members
who have just been assigned to the Army Reserve manage their careers to achieve the
goals they have set for themselves. I like to have friends; I listen well and try to
understand people first, before giving an opinion during a discussion.
Another strong dimension of health is physical wellness because some of the benefits of regularly scheduled physical activity are that it reduces stress and improves mood swings. The best way to reduce stress is to go ride my bike, lift weights, or just go running. It decreases risk of breast cancer in women. Physical activity improves the respiratory and circulatory systems by enlarging the heart muscles. Physical activity is important to health and wellness because without physical activity it is impossible to have good health or live a balanced way of life. It’s important to include both exercise and healthy eating habits in their lifestyle because this is the best way to maintain a balance diet and by eating the right foods it give their body the nutrient it need exercise properly.
