CHALLENGE & Involvement

You could likely be more personally invested in your work and in your workplace. While you do not lack interest in your job, it does not seem to energize or excite you. Do you think you need to be more challenged or given more responsibility? Is there some other aspect of your organization that, if changed, would lead you to feel more involved? Consider if there are any small steps you might take or suggestions you might make to demolish the barriers to your personal involvement in your work.

FREEDOM

You might like to feel that information is more freely exchanged in your organization, or you might wish that employees had more freedom to make decisions and plan initiatives. Could you strengthen relationships with colleagues and encourage your teammates to share information more freely? Are there commonly accepted rules or customs that might be changed? This might lead to a higher investment in your work for everyone on your team, and provide you with the opportunity to think creatively about projects and processes.

IDEA SUPPORT

In your workplace, the ideas of employees at all levels are somewhat respected, though you might feel that certain people have more support than others or perhaps that only some ideas are listened to. You might feel that your suggestions are met with some resistance or some level of criticism. Nevertheless, you are able to suggest new ideas without reprimand; perhaps you could take this ability to identify and make suggestions that would help your workplace, in general, become even more open to new ideas from all stakeholders!

TRUST & OPENNESS

You seem to feel comfortable and safe expressing ideas in your workplace. You do not fear reprisals for suggesting differing opinions or for testing out an idea that ultimately is not adopted.
