“I Am” Essay

I am a girl with many dreams and goals and the ambition to make them reality. I have the determination and self-discipline to see every goal succeed. I will go to college not to party and have fun, but to pull myself one step closer to where I desire. I am a girl that has a bright future ahead of me. I’m a girl that won’t let anything get in the way of what I’m chasing after. I am independent and strong willed. I am an individual. I am my own person. I’m a girl who makes mistakes, laughs, cries, hurts, smiles, and loves too. I am who I am through my joys, sorrows, heartbreaks, happiness, and everything I lose. I’m a girl who makes mistakes, but learns from them at the same time. I am a girl who tries to light up the room with a smile. I am that girl who tries to pick you up when your down, laugh when you want to cry, and is there when you want to talk. I am an honest person and will only tell the truth. I am real. I am a girl who accepts things as they happen and instead of dwelling on the pain it has caused, I deal with it. I am a girl who does not show that I am upset. I am the girl that always has a smile on my face no matter what emotion I am feeling. I am a girl who has the biggest and loving heart, but has the worst way of showing it or proving it. I am ignorant, illiterate and at times, irresponsible. I am loud and obnoxious, but I am a teenager. I am supposed to be. I am compassionate and I am indifferent with all intents to be.

I am responsible for my actions and I know that I have to face all of the consequences that come with them. I am responsible for being me and no one else. I am afraid of not making it into the field I want to be in, but I know I should still go for it because I can be anything I want to be. I am afraid of not being someone my grandpa would have approved of. I am afraid of not being someone my family is proud to say they are related to.
