This report focuses on the comparison of Nike and Adidas and discusses how each company is using their websites and technology to their advantage. We also point out any possible disadvantages and give recommendations on how these potential disadvantages can be improved. Both companies are involved in the sporting goods/clothing industry and each has a very complex web. Adidas is a well organized company and they showcase this also on their website. The website is available in popular languages such as Dutch, French, and mandarin and a lot more. Adidas also found a way to make sure the way the site is using computers will be the same on mobile devices. On mobile it is still well structured and has all the necessary information about products they sell. It can also offer different languages and can select regions on the mobile. Adidas is very organized, products properly described, products broken down to proper categories, pictures are clear, web coloring is appealing. All this helps users not to be confused and also makes users feel rest assured that the site is legit.
On the other hand, Nike is no doubt one of the most recognized companies in the world today, but I feel they take it for granted and there really isn’t enough effort put into the technical part of their business.
