1. Background

ABC Company is a multinational consultancy and training firm of business management solutions. It provides trainings and guidance to companies who aim to undergo certification of a specific management system or even to comply and have their system improved. The company’s headquarters is located in UK, with different offices in the Asia Pacific Region, US and Japan and has a Philippine office in Makati City.

The company has been operating for more than twenty (20) years already and has established an international network to cater their clients around the world. They have proven their quality of service by ensuring 99% certification with no major nonconformity on their process.

It was observed that employees are being “counter - offered” most of the time by their clients due to their competencies and skills. Solving this concern will help the management in the fast turn – over of consultantsOperations’ staff, which are the consultants, project executives and technical assistants.

2. Management Dilemma/ Business Issues

It has been observed that there is a decline in sales of the company due to insufficient number of consultants Operations group left to attend to the needs and demands of the customers. If the situation prevails, the management foresees that it will lose its edge in the market, making it impossible for them to compete with the emerging competitors. To combat this problem, the management decided to conduct a study on the increasing number of consultants Operations’ staff who resign from work.

Management Questions:

a. What actions should be taken or implemented to prevent consultants from being pirated by other companies?

b. How can we improve our system in order for the employees to choose us from other companies?
