During this course I have learned so much. One of the things that I have learned is: how to apply the four functions of management. Learning this will help me with my own business in the future. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling are very important for a business. I have also learned what a manager is and what managers’ responsibilities are. While going this class I have done so much research on State, Local, and Federal laws and how they are a major part for a business to follow. The most important thing for a business is research technology used in human resource management. I have learned that the use of technology in human resource has increased dramatically and is now a vital aspect of many personnel-related decisions such as collecting job information, recruitment, and employee selection.

Working on Tim’s Coffee Shop scenario has taught me many things that need to be done to make a business succeed starting from the owner all the way down to the customers. Without great customer service, great location, great marketing strategies and great prices, your business might fail. I have also enjoyed learning on how to do a SWOT analysis. After going through his class I feel that I am ready to move forward with establishing my own business in the near future. I will also continue my future education at Kaplan until I receive my Bachelors degree in Business Management.
