This paper covers part two of the Decisions in Paradise Business Scenario and the issues regarding the country of Kava the small island country in South Pacific, identified and described in business scenario one. Nik the executive assistant for the solid organization Liberty has taking on the role and responsibility to establish a greater presence in Kava. Nik has established through research and analyses the she has addressed the concerns and desires that will prove to benefit stakeholders, businesses, people, and environment of Kava. Nik has decided to apply a decision-making technique that proposes solutions to allow Kava to receive its desired mission. This paper provides information regarding the proposal to create language workshops presented in the islands schools as well as workshops for adults to learn the language most dominate on the island. The language barriers stem from the islands diverse mix of indigenous South Pacific tribes that include: French, Spanish, Asian, and Africans.

The decision-making technique that Nik has chosen to pursue and utilize is the cause-and-effect analysis to make the most effective decisions. The techniques will help identify and solve Kava’s issues and open doors for employment opportunities, bring in tourists, build the population which would assist in covering job opportunities To bring in new businesses and technology this decision-making technique will allow Nik to get to establish possible effects of the causes. This will allow NIk to generate ideas about why the problems Kava face occur giving Nik an overall picture of why the problems these problems happen (USAID, 2010). Starting with the children since the islands population consists of 50 % being under the age of fifteen a proposed plan would be to focus on creating workshops in the schools to teach children. Develop workshops to teach adults how to communicate in the main language of the island which in this case is the English language.
