How to survive in College

For many people College is the synonym of freedom and future. The new college student is no longer in high school, here in college, the student has more freedom, and he or she can do whatever he or she wants to do , but is up to the student how well is he or she going to manage his or her new freedom. In this essay I am going to write some tips that can help the new college students to survive not only the first semester of college, but thought the entire major.

The first semester in college is the most unexpected semester of all of them, because is the first step the student has to do, he or she doesn’t know anyone and they are nervous because of the people, the professor, the assignments, and about how well are they going to be, so since the first day of class is necessary to take notes of everything even if there is information that the student already know. The student has to establish a study routine for each subject, so for each hour of class the student spends inside the classroom, he will study two hours outside the classroom, during his or her free time, and this technique helps the student to organize his or her schedules. The student must think that to study means more than do the homework, so check the notes that are already written, organize them, and titled them, in order to understand correctly the subjects and the main points of the class to be prepared for a surprise test.

Inside the classroom, the student should look for a seat near to the board, and not at the bottom; this allows the student to understand better the topics and the issues of the class, and it is easy to ask questions to the teacher about the topics because the teacher will look first the students that are at the front. Inside the campus is good for the student to walk around it and know where are the administrative offices, the cafeterias, the library, the nursery, and the student’s activities center.
