Discuss how human resource professionals can ensure that top organizational leaders encourage managers and employees to follow laws and guidelines.

      Human resources professional can ensure the top organizational leaders encourage managers and employees are following laws and guidelines by educating new employees and reoccurring training for all managers. It is imperative that senior organizational leaders know and understand the laws and implications to the company’s bottom line when violations occur.

Human resources professionals must continuously balance the needs of the organization its stockholders with the needs of stakeholders. Despite this tension between competing interests, today's business leaders can model behaviors and create a corporate culture that adheres to applicable laws and employment practices even while making their firms more competitive in the marketplace (Vickers, 2005).

Human resource professionals have unique challenges with today’s unstable economy, the exponential growth in technology and the globalization of human resources. Balancing these factors and emerging international laws and guidance is critical to ensure both the stockholders and stakeholders rights are protected (Vickers, 2005).

The old moniker from senior leaders was "Just keep us out of court” has far reaching ramifications and presents challenges for human resources professionals. Human resources professionals must work closely with all entities to provide training and provide timely guidance to leadership to identify and correct workplace violations.
