Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) is a German automobile, motorcycle, and engineering manufacturing company founded in 1916. It own and produce the mini company of Rolls Royce Motor Cars. BMW is known for its performance and luxury vehicles. The year 2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the Quandt family taking over a bankrupt BMW and transforming it in the powerful automaker we know today.

In the year 2001 the BMW Group once again reached a new record result in production and sales. An outstanding highlight of the Russian premiere of the new BMW 7 Series at the motor show, and the third in the world, and second in Europe. This year BMW was declared the best brand in the category “Auto Moto” and received the prize of the competition Effie 2001. The BMW Group has chosen to use Zeon Software solutions for their plants worldwide, with immediate effect. Zeon has proven its value in daily use and BMW are confident their sales will increase. The Secret of BMW’s Success comes from the hand across divisions in which BMW is one of the handfuls of global companies that have turned to networks to manage day to day operations.

The Secret of BMW’s Success also comes from lightning fast changes which speed and organizational agility is increasingly vital to the auto industry. In 2004, BMW used mobile phone messages as the main source to reach the younger crowd of potential buyers. The success of BMW cars in the Russian market is due to the BMW 5 series and BMW 3 series that are manufactured in Russia. Another success factor is a development of the dealership network and the dealer’s interest in the new projects. There are 22 authorized BMW dealers in 17 largest cities of Russia.
