Is Chile Too Cheap to Educate Its Young, p. 17

Chile is faced with an important decision that could reflect the future of the country. If Chile does not invest in their education they could be faced with a generation of less knowledgeable people in the future. Looking at this issue from a global business view, it is possible for another country to offer students a more value based education. Accepting more international students from Chile and giving them better deals on loans. This could give private companies an advantage if they could offer a lower interest rate than the current rate that the government and banks are offering.

There are a few main reasons why a company should chose to become a global brand. One important reason is the opportunity of success in an emerging market. Budweiser holds a significant percentage of the market share in the United States and has potential to grow from international markets. If the company can capture a share of the global market it is important to pursue that opportunity for growth among the company. Considering the company is successful in their current markets, it seems expanding to a more global brand could help the company maintain growth.

From an American ethical view, this seems to be an unethical way to market tobacco. However, many countries have different views on what is considered ethical and society may view this issue as once being ethical to no longer an ethical way to conduct business.
