7 SPIRTUAL VALUES IN MANAGEMENT
ABSTRACT
This research paper aims at discussing the benefits of Spirituality in management which is a discipline that may yield substantial benefits to Individuals and organizations. This research examines the concept of individual learning and relates it to seven spiritual values in management. The research first examines generic processes in motivating individual to engage in self-directed learning process. There are many spiritual values but in this research paper a brief descriptions of the only seven spiritual values is given .Following are the Spiritual values that are covered Freedom, Patience, Gratitude, Generosity and Detachment, Inspiration and Intuition, Unity and Forgiveness. This research paper also tells us about what role does spiritual values play in an individual’s life. This balance can be achieved by having a holistic or rather spiritualistic approach in the management style. Finally, each of the seven spiritual values of management is related back to the motives that inspires individual to learn.
SPIRITUAL VALUES
Spirituality can refer to an ultimate or immaterial reality; an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of their being; or the “deepest values and meanings by which people live.” Spiritual practices, including meditation, prayer and contemplation, are intended to develop an individual's inner life; such practices often lead to an experience of connectedness with a larger reality, yielding a more comprehensive self; with other individuals or the human community; with nature or the cosmos; or with the divine realm.
Spiritual values is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life.Spiritual values can be loosely defined as ethical or religious values that reflect one's beliefs about life. Spiritual Values are how you represent what you believe in when it comes to religion/Spirituality, and sticking to what you believe in without being hypocritical.
