One Sample

This paper will include our research testing based on the information provided in the CIA Global Demographics Data Set. Our research testing is on the life expectancy in the Asian countries versus the life expectancy in the European countries. We will conduct our hypothesis testing on two population proportions from the 62 countries in the data set.

Research Question

Null Hypothesis: We believe that the life expectancy in the Asian countries is lower than the European countries given that the literacy rate in Asia is lower than Europe. P1 < P2

Alternate Hypothesis: We believe that the life expectancy in the Asian countries is greater than the European countries given that the literacy rate in Europe is less than Asia. P1 ≥ P2
