If the allegation in the lawsuits are truely correct, then I believe EMC have violated the laws of
women rights. The women filed a claim, stating EMC discriminated against female employees. The
women claimed the company retalited against them by not giving her a big account. They also stated
that the women pay grade was lesser then men. The women also said they were discriminated against
because they didn’t tolerate strips clubs, swear, hunt, fish, drink, or smoke.
EMC can continue to sell as aggressively yet avoid charges of sexual harassment and sexual
discrimination by putting women in higher positions. Also by EMC starting a womens Leadership forum
that women also have rights to equal employment. This conflict can be resolved by treating women as if
they women and not a commitment. Also put women as supervisors and let women work for women
instead of working under men supervisors. Separate the women side from the men side to hold down
conflict.
If I were a HR Manager at EMC, to avoid sex discrimination lawsuits in the future I would hire
women managers and woman supervisors and let women work under women on one side of the
company and let men work for men on the other side company. This will help EMC’s business
performance because one side will try to out do the other side and as a whole the company will have
real big profits.
