1.0 The proposal papers were prepared for applying to construct of bicycle lanes in Taman Sakura, Kuching.

2.0 Introduction

Cycling is less cost transport and believes as a warm and friendly nature because no noise pollution, odourless smokes and no traffic jammed. Cycling is good for your health and fitness. People who cycle regularly everyday will live longer and can reduces the risk of serious condition such as heart disease, obesity and high blood pressure. Meanwhile, cycling can help to maintain strength and coordination, which can be seriously disabling especially in older people. (South Med. J, 1995. And British Heart Foundation). Getting on your bike regularly is not only gets you where you want to go faster than a car, it protects you against a wide range of ill health and also makes you feel better.

3.0 Mission

If we have a bicycle lanes, cyclist will impression and more confident to cycling and this can be attract the others people near Taman Sakura to cycling and beside that can be less fuel cost and less air pollution. With the bicycle lanes for bicyclists can cause the problems to the extent that they encourage bicyclists and motorists to violate the rules of the road for drivers of vehicles.

4.0 Objectives

The reason to construct bicycle lanes near my housing is for avoid an accident meanwhile for increasingly healthy. The construction of bicycles lanes would be able:

a.) Bike lanes opponents claim that traffic jams resulting from the bike lanes will worsen the air quality.

b.) Increase safety for students who used the bicycles as their transport.

c.) Bicyclist position themselves on average in the middle of a 5ft bike lane immediately adjacent to on-street parking, within reach of opening doors of parked cars.( Hunter and Stewart, 1999 )

d.) Meanwhile, can promote to the others society how cycling is good and better for health and fitness.

e.) Convince the parents for encourage their children’s to cycling.
