ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I want to thank my Mom Ruth, for it is from her that I first learned the importance
of a God centered life. My love and gratitude to my beautiful wife Rose, for her
love and patience. I am truly thankful to my children Manfred, Marcia and
Meshech for always showing me glimpses of Abba Father‟s heart.
I am very thankful to Gary Thomas, the author of the book Holy Available for this
book kicked me out of my own hypocrisy and flair for flirting with Christless
Christianity. At God‟s timing, I learned from this book that my faith in Jesus
should not only inspire me, but it should transform me. I am never the same again.
The influence from Holy Available can be felt throughout this book but in no specific order.
I also want to thank Jerry Bridges, the author of the book The Pursuit Of Holiness.
At God‟s timing, this book emboldened me to take God‟s stand on sin and to view
sin as God does. I want to thank Bob Buford, the author of the book Half Time. At
God‟s timing this book gave me a significant perspective and confidence that the
game is won or lost in the second half, not the first, and inspired me to look at life
as a splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I should make it
burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.
There is an African proverb that says “It takes a village to raise a child”. I want to
thank a couple of villages of people who have in one way or another have spiritually guided, mentored and shaped me into the man that I am today. You know who
you are.
And I want to thank Jesus Christ, The Author and Finisher of our faith. Thank you
Lord for dying for my sins on the Cross of Calvary to cleanse the filthy me through
your bleeding.
May 2012.
