Strategies for Applying Creativity

When dealing with a factual topic such as early voting demographics, I would stimulate my creativity with the methods of forcing myself to come up with uncommon responses and also listing the pros and cons to the argument. First of all, most people have certain arguments they may come up with in discussions on the turnout of early voters and the impact early voting has on an election, I would try to express the common ideas in rapid succession so the reader knows the ideas have been thought of, but I would then write in more depth about the uncommon responses that the mass populace may not consider, due to lack of creativity and inability to stray from party lines. In order to show my lack of bias, I would also discuss the pros and cons to early voting, conducting research to insure that I do not discount arguments which I personally do not agree with, in order to showcase the need for discussion and debate on the issue.

Promoting Curiosity

I believe the best strategy for promoting curiosity in this situation is to construct scenarios for the reader to have to deal with, because many people tend to think only one way on a subject and refuse to allow other ideas to become relevant. When a person has to face scenarios they are not accustomed to, or have faced themselves, then the person has to face their views head on, analyze what they believe, and hopefully become more curious as to other peoples situations and ways of handling the issue. We often find that the best teachers, and the clearest understanding comes from a constructed scenario, proverb, or parable which has many underlying meanings and teachings, which are left to the reader or hearer to distinguish and uncover by thought and reflection.
