Robin Hood Assignment

Robin Hood has quite a dilemma on his hands. What was supposed to be a tight knit group of people vowed to seek revenge on the Sheriff has turned into something bigger than what originally imagined. Now his band has spiraled out of control and is in need of direction and leadership. Robin needs to reevaluate his objectives and make it clear to the band what it is they are fighting for and who they are fighting against.

The first thing Robin needs to do is set the “tone and attitude” of the organization. Robin has made the mistake of taking all that were willing to serve without asking questions that are important to his purpose. In order to regain his role as leader of the band, he needs to take control and set a mission statement and vision for his organization. He needs to ensure that his four Lieutenants are on board with his idea and help him execute the philosophy of the band.

First step Robin needs to communicate is the Mission Statement: We are men with grievances and a deep sense of justice. We are a group and a disciplined band, united in enmity against the High Sheriff of Nottingham and all those who confiscate our goods that is rightfully ours. The farmers and the townspeople are our most important allies. We must protect and serve our fellow band, the farmers, townspeople, and those who are defenseless against the Sheriff.

Second step is to communicate the Vision: King Richard of Lionheart is our King. In order for King Richard to be reinstated we must stay focused on our mission statement and collect the ransom that will release King Richard from his jail in Austria. A crusade to get the King back is our only option to rid the country of the Sheriff and Prince John.
