1. Amniotic egg- The type of egg produced by reptiles, birds, and prototherian (egg-laying) mammals (amniotes), in which the embryo develops inside an amnion. The shell of the egg is either calcium-based or leathery.

2. Arthropod- invertebrate having jointed limbs and a segmented body with an exoskeleton made of chitin.

3. Bulb- a modified underground stem which has one or more buds enclosed in fleshy modified leaves or scales which supply energy to the bud when they start to grow, onions and tulips have bulbs.

4. Carbohydrate fibrous- are complex carbohydrates that come mostly from green vegetables. These carbohydrates are rich in fiber and help the digestive process run smoothly. Fibrous carbohydrates are also a good source of minerals, vitamins, phytochemicals and other nutrients.

5. Carotenoid- Any of a group of red and yellow pigments, chemically similar to carotene, contained in animal fat and some plants.

6. Chitin- A fibrous substance consisting of polysaccharides and forming the major constituent in the exoskeleton of arthropods and the cell walls of fungi

7. Connective tissue- Tissue that connects, supports, binds, or separates other tissues or organs, typically having relatively few cells embedded in an amorphous matrix, often with collagen or other fibers, and including cartilaginous, fatty, and elastic tissues

8. Enzyme- A substance produced by a living organism that acts as a catalyst to bring about a specific biochemical reaction.

9. Fruit – fleshy with seed- The seed-bearing structure of a plant. The sweet and fleshy product of a tree or other plant that contains seed and can be eaten as food.

10. Gametophyte- (in the life cycle of plants with alternating generations) The gamete-producing and usually haploid phase, producing the zygote from which the sporophyte arises. It is the dominant form in bryophytes
