GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Global Skill Consulting & Education on behalf of our client located in Arusha is looking for Network Administrator.
The Network Administrator performs technical work installing, operating and providing second level support for local and wide area networks, personal computers, and telephone system while insuring that network security is well maintained
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, manages all network servers and other network components including installation, configuration and maintenance
• Plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems, system installation, backup, maintenance and problem solving.
• assists in coordinating special projects including network related wiring plans
Develops and maintains network security procedures, Adds, removes, and changes authorities for network users
• assists in providing network and remote connectivity hardware/software support; maintains LAN user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information; researches and recommends network
• Control user access to the network this includes setting up passwords for individual users and determining which files, programs, or features each person is allowed to use.
• Responsible for a set of security measures designed to make sure that no one can gain unauthorized access to the system (firewall).
Resolves problems reported by end users for local and wide area networks, personal computers, networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.) Provides answers to complex questions related to these systems
